The first step toward faster recovery and better health is to ensure you have completed the Infinity CryoTherapy waiver. This helps us to identify any possible health conditions. After completing the questionnaire, clients will head into a private changing room. Men will need to undress down to their undergarments. Women will need to undress to undergarments without any metal touching the skin, or dress into a swimsuit. All clients will be provided a robe, socks, gloves, and shoes to wear into our Cryosauna. It is recommended that no lotions, oils, cologne or any alcohol based products be applied prior to treatment.
Once inside the Cryosauna, an attendant will guide you through your session. When the treatment begins, you will feel cold air enter the chamber. This cold air therapy is dry air due to the lack of moisture (humidity) and is not painful like an ice bath or immersion. During the treatment, your skin temperature will decrease more than 30°F over 3 minutes (or less) inside the chamber; however, your core temperature will only lower slightly. You will immediately warm after exiting the chamber with full range of motion in your muscles and joints, unlike water or ice treatments, where the joints remain stiff for hours. After exiting the Cryosauna, it is recommended that light cardiovascular movement be performed for a period of up to 10 minutes to further promote re-warming within the muscles. This creates a more favorable circulatory effect to bring fresh blood into the muscles and promote the flushing of stagnant blood within the muscle tissue. |
