CRYO FREEZE PEN™ For lesion removal
look & FEEL healthier with FREEZE PEN CRYOTHERAPY

The Cryo Freeze Pen™ is a state of the art treatment that uses extreme cold, or cryotherapy, to painlessly and safely destroy unwanted, benign and superficial lesions on the surface of the skin. At Infinity, you can rid your body of warts, skin tags, verrucae, milia, cherry angiomas, scars, and resistant hyperpigmentation.
It has four main benefits over other treatments;
  • Our Cryo Freeze Pen therapy takes far less time; with treatment sessions lasting less than 2 minutes
  • No anaesthesia is required and it is virtually painless
  • It is one of the least invasive lesion treatments in the market
  • It is used in the treatment of virtually any benign skin lesion
The Cryo Freeze Pen™ delivers a nitrous oxide (N2O) jet that is much colder and at a higher pressure making for an extremely fast and effective treatment. It is able to treat a 2mm lesion in just 10 seconds, and is able to go up to 5mm deep. Because of the special applicator tips we can select for different sized lesions, the Cryo Freeze Pen will only treat your lesion and not the healthy tissue surrounding it. This means that your treatment will involve minimal discomfort and few side effects if any at all. It also means that lesions on the face and the area around the eyes can be safely treated too.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT METHOD
Our Cryotherapy ("cold surgery") method is a highly effective and safe procedure that is used to freeze and destroy benign skin lesions. Using liquefied nitrous oxide to freeze the tissue of the inter-cellular fluid, the Cryo Freeze Pen forms ice shards and crystals that rupture the cell membrane and in turn, destroys the cell.
  1. First Freeze Cycle — The Cryo Freeze Pen applicator is held as close as possible to the lesion and then moved quickly away from it once ice shards are produced. Depending on the lesion size and depth, the treatment could last anywhere from 3 seconds to 30 seconds long.
  2. The Thaw — After the first freezing cycle, the tissue will be allowed to thaw for about 30 seconds.
  3. Second Freeze Cycle — The second freeze cycle will then begin. The tissue will freeze much faster than the initial freezing cycle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How safe is the Cryo Freeze Pen?
A. Cryotherapy is a relatively low-risk procedure. Cryo Freeze Pen™ delivers N2O directly to the lesion and not the healthy surrounding tissue.

Q. How long are Cryo Freeze Pen™ treatments?
A. The penetration rate of freezing with the Cryo Freeze Pen™ is approximately 1mm per 5 seconds, with a maximum freezing depth of 3 to 6 mm depending on the used applicator. The duration of the treatment time will depend on the surface area and the thickness of the tissue being treated. Upon the evaluation of the thickness of the lesion, the operator will choose an application time from 1 to 30 seconds.

Q. Is the treatment painful?
A. There will be a pain sensation similar to a ballpoint pen being pushed onto the skin when the nitrous oxide reaches the bottom of the lesion. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment. Occasionally a blister might form and persist for a few hours.
Q. Will there be a follow up session?
A. A follow up visit is recommended after 2 to 4 weeks to confirm that all pathological tissue has disappeared or if a follow up treatment is necessary.

Q. What if I have darker skin?
A. Repeated short freezing cycles of 3 to 6 seconds at two-week intervals are recommended if you have a darker skin type.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A.Cryo Freeze Pen Therapy is relatively low risk. There are a few side effects that may occur as a result of treatment, including:
• Pigmentary changes (hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation)
• Nerve damage (particularly in areas where nerves lie close to the surface of the skin, on fingers, wrist, and area behind the ear).
• Shards of frozen ice (minor shards of frozen ice may blow out and will thaw on contact with healthy skin).

• Hair follicle damage.
Q. How much will the treatment cost?
A. The cost will depend on the size of the lesion. Below is an average cost per size of lesion.
